Upper Deck’s 2009 SPx release is supposed to be available in late March or early April. Hobby boxes are currently selling for a bit over $100 on eBay. You’re getting 18 packs with four cards per pack in each hobby box. This product is loaded with material cards! You’ll get, on average, four jersey cards per box, in addition to one rookie signature or jersey autograph.
There will be a Joe DiMaggio career highlight insert set, with cards numbered to only 999. If you’re going to pick a player’s career to highlight, this is certainly one of the best you could choose.
The SPx release has been a favorite of card collectors, whether they lean towards Topps or Upper Deck, for years now. Doesn’t look like that will be changing anytime soon, with another high quality SPx release this year.
