Did you ever want to know what a certain baseball collectible might be worth? Maybe you have a Joe DiMaggio signed baseball, or maybe you are looking to buy one. Maybe you want to know what price another collector might be willing to pay for a Derek Jeter signed baseball. You might just be curious about what a common T206 card might be worth, based on it’s value in the marketplace (or auctionplace to be correct).
One way to find this information is to purchase one of the common price guides available to collectors. Another way would be to use Sports Collectors Digest’s Auction Database. Have you heard of the Auction Database? It’s currently a free online database which houses the closing prices for sports collectibles from some of the major auction houses, such as Lelands, Vintage Authentics, and Memory Lane, to name a few.
As of this writing, there are currently 6,330 items to be researched in the Auction Database. What types of items will a collector find in this database? Autographed baseballs, autographed jerseys, autographed bats, and other baseball memorabilia. You’ll also find tons of old baseball cards which have sold in auction, including Turkey Red, T206, and Cracker Jack cards, just to name a few of the many different types of vintage cards included in the database.
Take a look at the database, and use it to your advantage. Find out what other collectors might be paying for baseball cards or baseball memorabilia you might own, or might be looking to purchase. You can find the link to the auction database here.
