Looks like our hobby is going strong in 2009. Açcording to Sports Collector’s Digest, card retailers have been pleasantly surprised with the demand for both Topps’ and Upper Deck’s initial 2009 releases.
It is certainly good to hear that baseball card collectors are active and spending on the 2009 products. It will be interesting to see if the secondary market for this year’s cards reflect the high demand with the reported limited production by the card manufacturers.
Let’s hope that the 2009 MLB regular season gets off to as good a start as the 2009 baseball card season.
