Goodwin Champions baseball cards should be available from Upper Deck for card collectors in mid-September. This will be one of the more interesting baseball card sets released this year. It reminds me a lot of Allen and Ginter, which we know is a huge hit with collectors.
There will be a total of 252 cards in the Goodwin Champions regular baseball card set (base cards only). If you’re looking for inserts and other hits, man this release is going to be a good one. There will be one hard-signed auto per hobby box on average. Each pack will include a mini-card with the harder to find foil versions being inserted at a much less common rate.
One of the real cool inclusions in this release is the 1888 Goodwin Champions buybacks. Basically, you can get a buyback from Upper Deck of an authentic 1888 Goodwin Champions card. And you know there are some real valuable cards included in that set, including the Cap Anson card.
There will be 20 packs per hobby box with five cards per pack. Each box will have an average of two memorabilia cards and three out of every four packs will have an additional short print or insert card.
Checking out prices on eBay, it looks like a hobby box is selling for just over $70. Man, just writign about what you can find in this release, and what you are almost guaranteed in each hobby box for about 70 bucks makes me want to pick up a box right now.
This baseball card release will be popular, and let’s just hope that it’s not one of Upper Deck’s last to include the MLB logos. But if it is, it could even add value to this set.
