Best Baseball Card by Position – Shortstop

It should come as no surprise to any reader of this blog, that the best baseball card of a shortstop is quite possibly the most famous baseball card in our hobby. The T206 Honus Wagner, one of the rarest and most sought after collectibles of all-time, is the best baseball card of a shortstop.

As you probably already know, if you’re a collector or you read this blog regularly, an entire book was written about this one card. If you haven’t read that book already, check it out, it’s a very interesting and quick read. (Doesn’t reflect the best on our hobby, but it’s important information to know, especially if you’re a big-time collector.)

If you’re luck enough to be able to afford one of these T206 Honus Wagner baseball cards in decent condition, being that the card was created in the earlier days of baseball card printing (~1909), and before baseball card holders existed, then you can enjoy one of the finest collectibles in our hobby.

I won’t tell you any more about this baseball card in this post, as you probably already know all about it. If not, check out the Wikipedia post about the card here, and if you still want more, pick up a copy of “The Card” at your local library or from eBay, as an eBook on BN.com, or Amazon. Happy reading!
