Card Collector Universe

He was referred to in the #1 bestseller, Moneyball, as the Greek God of walks.  But he’s not Greek.  (A convenient moniker though for a guy who knows when to swing the bat, and who’s last name does sound like it might be Greek.)  In fact, Kevin Youkilis is Jewish and has been named the Jewish Major Leaguers’ Player of the Decade. Who knew there was such an award? According to the article in the Jewish Ledger online, Shawn Green and Ryan Braun finished two and three in the voting. Give Braun ten years in the bigs and then take a look at his stats. If he stays on pace, his stats will be gargantuan.

A 1953 Bowman Bob Feller, card #114, sold for $12,995 online this past week. The card was graded a 9 of 10.
