A buddy of mine, who knows that I’m a collector, and that my wife is a major Yankees fan (while I am not,) gave me a couple of baseball cards he found in some food product. They are pretty nice cards and were put out by Upper Deck. Looking at the cards right now, it looks like they came from a Sunkist product.
Anyway, the reason I mention it, is it was a cool gesture. The guy knows I’m a collector, and that my wife is a Yankees fan, and when he saw these cards at home, he thought of us, and brought them in to work to give to me. Pretty cool, right?
Well, it’s that time of year when we begin to give and receive gifts. My friend gave me these cards without thinking about it, I’m sure. We should all be so generous this time of year.
If you have a card (or any other collectible, or thing, for that matter) you think someone might like, why not give it to a friend? Not trade them the card. Give it to them. They’ll get a nice gift, and you, although you might not be doing it for this reason, will get a good feeling.
Happy Holidays.
