Are you going to the 31st National Sports Collector’s Convention? It’s going to be on the East Coast this year, held right near the birthplace of the greatest baseball player of all time.
Yep, this should be a good ‘ol time, not far from Camden Yards, at the Baltimore Convention Center, from August 4th to August 8th. If you’re heading to “The National”, and you’re a first time attendee, you’ll probably want to check out the FAQs on The National’s website. If you’re a parent bringing your young child (12 and under), you’ll be happy to hear that all kids 12 and under will not be charged admission for all five days of the show. That’s the way it should be. Good job, folks at The National.
Some of the cool stuff you’ll find as part of this year’s National include:
- Wrapper redemptions – Card manufacturers, including Upper Deck, Panini, Topps and TriStar, will have promotions where if you open a pack (or packs) of cards at the show, you’ll be able to redeem them for a card (or cards). I’m sure each manufacturer will have details available at the show, or you can check out The National’s website for more info
- The Autograph Pavilion, hosted by TriStar, with more than 70 athletes signing. You can read about who will be signing at The National here. (It’s quite a group of stars!)
- Family day will be held on the final day of the show where a family of four people can get in to The National for $25.
Single day tickets to the show are available online right now for $16.50, and will be $19.95 to purchase when you get them at The National in Baltimore. You can purchase your tickets online at The National’s website.
Don’t take my word for all this though. To check the facts before you go to the show, visit The Natonal’s website at www.nsccshow.com. Enjoy the show!
