2009 Upper Deck Series 1 should be available for collectors in early February. You’ll find the traditional 16 packs per box
and 20 cards per pack here. It’s a comfort in the hobby, knowing how many packs you’ll get in a hobby box and how many cards per pack. In this years’ base set, just in case you are a base set collector, you’ll find a more challenging 500 cards to assemble. Some of the highlights from this year’s Upper Deck Series 1 release:
- 1 autograph per hobby box on average
- Game jersey autographs numbered to 99
- 2 memorabilia cards per hobby box on average
- USA Baseball 18U cards (for you prospectors out there)
- 1975 O Pee Chee Inserts
- Yankee Stadium Legacy Updates
If you’re a card collector, and you buy baseball card boxes, you almost have to pick up a hobby box of Upper Deck Series 1. It’s your duty as a collector! Okay, let’s maybe not go that far, but Upper Deck Series 1 is one of the first releases of the year, and isn’t cool to get all pumped up for the new baseball season with a fresh box of new Upper Deck?
