2008 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection was scheduled for release as the last baseball card product of 2008, but looks like it might be delayed into early January of 2009.
What you need to know:
- 1 pack per hobby box
- 3 cards per pack
- 1 Autograph, Memorabilia or Autographed Memorabilia card per pack
- About $85 per box (pack)

If you a high-end collector, or are rolling in dough, this product might be for you. For the average collector though, this is a tough product to sell. 85 bucks for three cards, when you don’t know what cards you’re getting is a lot to ask. This is pure gambling at its best. Maybe you get a thrill from this kind of gambling, and have the money to spare. If not, wait for the next product from Upper Deck.

Oh, by the way, just checking on eBay and it looks like there is a box currently on auction, at $71, and it has 15 bids on it. Guess the price isn’t keeping people away from this product.
Completely agreed. It’s like yay, $70+ and I got an Ian Kennedy autogamer that probably goes for $5 in any other set. I can’t believe they used that as one of the cards on the sell sheet!
