What’s Not Quite As Cool?

All in all, it looks to be a pretty nice baseball card set.  It’s much like the previous baseball card sets put out by Upper Deck.  It’s got some nice glossy pictures on the base card set, as well as some high quality signatures thrown in to the mix, and some controversial cards which the big two card companies are becoming known for.  Although some collectors are partial to either Upper Deck or Topps, it will be interesting to see if the general public gravitates toward these cards or the Topps 2008 baseball card set.

Go to Upper Deck’s website for a full listing of all base cards, inserts and parallels from it’s 2008 card set, series one.

Pick up your own 2008 Upper Deck Baseball Series One Hobby Box, with one autograph and two memorabilia cards per box on average.  You’ll get 320 cards in each hobby box;  16 packs per box, with 20 cards per pack.

This set is too similar to last years set for my taste. I will buy some of it but I prefer the Topps issue over this Upper Deck release.

Joey, I’m with ya. The 2008 Topps set looks nice this year.
