The 2008 Topps Updates and Highlightsrelease will available starting in mid-October.  This is the familiar updates release made by Topps around this time of year, each year, that harkens back to the Topps Traded releases.

  • Baseball Card History buybacks

So……..should you buy a hobby box of this release as a collector?  Not for the design;  we’ve already seen most of it this year.  But definitely for the price, for the amount of parallels, auto-combinations, traded players, historic cards and the World Baseball Classic.  At about $50 a box, this set is definitely a buy.
