Topps Stadium Club will be released in early November and it looks like it’ll be another hit for Topps. This baseball card product is one of the best due to it’s high quality pictures and high amount of autographed cards per hobby box. (The hobby box prices reflect this).
What you need to know:
- A hobby box will set you back about $235
- 12 autographs per hobby box, including 6 rookie autographs
- 1 Yankee Relic card per box
- Rookie cards numbered to 1499 or less, inserted one per pack
- 41 rookie autographs in total
- 12 numbered rookie cards and 12 numbered parallel cards per box
- 12 packs in a box, and 5 cards per pack
As you can see above, you’ll also see some high quality sketch cards included in the 2008 release of Topps Stadium Club. Nice one of World Series Champ Ryan Howard right there.
Topps Stadium Club has been known in the past for the high quality glossy photos, reminiscent of Upper Deck type photos, with high quality card stock, and a good number of autographed cards, parallels, numbered cards and other inserts. These years cards are now different.
In particular, take a look at the Phillies cards from this set, as they may prove to be worth a tad more.
So, should you buy a box of 2008 Topps Stadium Club? If you’ve got a quarter of a thousand dollars laying around taking up space, sure. This is a release for a high end collector. If you’ve got the dough, it’s definitely a nice release to purchase a hobby box of. If not, see if you can’t pick up a few of these sweet cards in an online auction.
