According to hobby leader Beckett, the 2008 Topps Moments and Milestones set was originally slated for release on February 21, 2008, although some sources are reporting a later pre-sale ship date. (It has been mentioned that Topps pushed back the release until early March.) It seems that this is in line with recent card release schedules being pushed back on a regular basis.
What’s cool?
- Every base and parallel card is sequentially numbered. What did this mean for you? Shorter amount of available cards, higher value per card.
- New blue parallel cards sequentially numbered to 10
- One parallel card per pack
- Two autographs per box
What’s not as cool?
The price: about $100 per box. While this price isn’t that cool, considering you’re getting all sequentially numbered cards as well as two autos per box, the price is about fair market value.
Why should you consider investing in this set? With all cards being sequentially numbered, and the high amount of autos in the set, it could prove to be a good investment. Previous Moments and Milestones sets don’t seem to have generated that high of a demand recently, which could give you a pause here. Overall, if you’re looking for autos and sequentially numbered cards, this set is definitely for you.
