According to Beckett Baseball, Topps has confirmed that there are short-printed cards in the 2008 Topps Heritage release, as well as a black back variation.  This is great news for value conscious card collectors. By picking up these short printed cards, you’ll be getting cards that will, most likely, have a higher value than your average common card in this set.Â
The short-printed cards that would have the most interest as a collector, or investor, for me, are:
- #463, Tony Pena, Kansas City Royals
- #487, J.J. Hardy, Milwaukee Brewers
- #491, Alfonso Soriano, Chicago Cubs
- #495, Brian McCann, Atlanta Braves
The same type of list for the black back variations cards:
- #21, Troy Tulowitzki, Colorado Rockies
- #54, Justin Upton, Arizona Diamondbacks
- #92, Phil Hughes, New York Yankees
- #224, David Wright, New York Mets
- #228, Andrew Miller, Florida Marlins
- #372, Ryan Howard, Philadelphia PhilliesÂ
