Card Collector Universe

1991 was right around the start of a lull in baseball card collecting, at least for me.  Ramon Martinez was just heating up right around 1991 though. 

At the age of 21, Ramon Martinez, Pedro Martinez’ brother, started 15 games, striking out 89 batters in 98.2 innings with a 3.19 ERA.  Ramon would show what he could do when given the chance to pitch a full season in the Major Leagues the following year, when he led the National League in complete games with 12, to along with 223 strikeouts in 234.1 innings pitched and a 2.92 ERA.  Did you remember that Pedro has a brother who could put up stats just like his?
